Hey Jon...

I use aluminum as heat sinks ( with tungsten cores) on my stationary 
gaps on my smaller coils and have seen no unsatisfactory results as 
compared to brass or bronze heat sinks ( other than brass and bronze 
retaining heat a bit longer) the electrical properties of conduction 
seem rather similar when dealing with hi voltages. The aluminum oxide is 
sooo thin and the high voltages should continously punch thru the 
coating....
