Subject: Test equipment choices

hello yall.

the more I delve into researching  the more I feel I need to get some equipment . I have all the basic manufacturing  tools but am sorely lacking in test equipment all I have now is a Vellman DVM890F multi meter .
so as far as oscilloscopes go how many MHZ? 20? 60? 100? more???? also probably should get a freq. generator  anyone have any advise on those never used one before
