OK so I have been experimenting more this evening with my coil. I have
notice that if I close the spark gap I seem to get a much faster spark
rate. I also noticed that I seem to get a bigger spark running on 12 beer
bottles as opposed to 14.
However, I still can't get sparks greater than 12 inches and if I dont use
a nail as a break out point on the toroid then I get almost no sparks at
all!
How big should I expect the sparks to be?? I was hoping for 4 feet but
maybe I am living in dream land?
Kind regards,
Trevor.
