We (I) often over volt these with a variac to ***140V*** or so and set my
safety gap at this voltage. Anything more then that would likely overheat
the primary and break down the secondary dialectric. These are not hearty
beasts and were not designed for this use or abuse.

could you put 220v to a nst thats rated at 120v. i imagine it would
burn up the secondary but i was just wonderin if any one has done it.
