Re: Good IGBT List?

Hi,
They are all good... and they are all bad :o)))
If you need to go to space or make a pacemaker for God... Go with
"Motorola" military/space/medical parts...
For super good common parts... "International Rectifier" is the only choice...
The rest, IXIS, Powerex, Simicon, APT, General Semi......... Will
all "let you down" periodically... But their lower prices will
"bring you back for more" ;-))
But in "our" case, we kill them the old fashioned way - by over
voltage, over current, or over power, due to "OUR" mistakes... We
can't blame "them" :O)))) Poor stage 7 ion etch processing errors
are the very LEAST of "our" power semiconductor problems :D
The only "rule" I have found is that with pushing super high currents
(far above specs), the bigger the die size the better!!! The more
modern the die design, the better too!!!
Cheers,
Terry
