I usually only recommend the Yageo carbon film types.  I worry a 
little about other types that we don't know well.

I would be interested to hear if people are having any trouble with 
them since the last time I asked.  As many have mentioned, there are 
real HV resistors out there too.  Personally, I don't worry about it.
