Re: Non Conductive Fasteners?

McMaster-Carr carries fasteners in polycarbonate and teflon as well
as nylon (though the PTFE is stupid-expensive) - perhaps the
polycarbonate would work? I'm not familiar with how stiff/strong it
is in very small items.
Here's what they say about the differences:
Plastic Type
Features
Nylon 6/6
Nonconductive material resists chemicals and solvents, except mineral
acids. It absorbs moisture and withstands a wide range of temperatures.
Polycarbonate
Tough with high impact strength. It is unaffected by greases, oils,
detergents, and most mineral acids. Withstands a wide range of temperatures.
PTFE
Machine grade material that's perfect for electrical applications.
Resists moisture and chemicals. Withstands high temperatures.

Hello All,
Does anyone know of a source for fasteners made of perhaps fiberglass
or other rigid, non conductive material. Nylon seems sort of flimsy
for heavy HV conductive blocks, etc. that need isolation and strength
of attachment. Yet nylon is all I can find locally and with some goggling.
Thanks Much,
