    It is sometimes forgot that there was a US postage stamp
    honoring Tesla.  (Likely an Edison one, also?)  Edison was a
    convenient icon for GE, also Henry Ford was a major Edison fan.
    Together, these two,  more or less accidentally have skewed
    perceptions....  Anyway, on the 100th anniversary of Electric
    Power (dated from Pearl Street Station) there was a more or
    less cocncerted effort, in professional electrical engineering
    circles to remind folks of Tesla.

    (The stamps are long out ofprint, also, intenationally, others
    issued stamps.  I'm no expert thereon...)
