I am not sure you can beat the 9 bucks + 8.5 more for shipping here:

You "could" do it with resistors and all... But you will be far more happy with the "real McCoy"...

If you need to look at like many kV things, you need "that" probe for like 60 Hz stuff...

If you don't have the base meter, go to Harbor Freight...
