can you tell what guage wire is used for the strands on the litz primary? Without a scope that can get you in the right city, but not sure about ballpark (eg: if it's 38 awg it's prob 50-100 kHz, thicker strands=lower freq.). You can also try to draw an arc and see if you can hear it whistle or not. Mostly silent = >20kHz. Not very accurate, but the tools are cheap.


One of the real values of a SS MWO power supply might be as a high power HV DC supply for a DC Resonant charged conventional spark gap TC. In particular, if the isolation between input and output is sufficient that they might be able to be stacked.

In such a case, you don't really care what frequency they work at, just what the output I/V characteristics are.
