Circuit Simulation

I note some of you use Microsim 9.1 student version  for schematic capture &
simulation.  OrCAD bought out Microsim years ago, so how does one get a
free, student or demo version these days?  There is an OrCAD demo version
10.5 (174 MB) available for download, but is it compatible with what is
commonly used on this List?  And does it go belly-up after a short trial
period?

Bottom line, how can one get an inexpensive legitimate copy of the simulator
commonly used by Coilers?
