Hi Cameron,
There are lots of "race" wheel of smaller diameter, if fact I saw some about
the 1256d diameter the other day. I seem to remember this is a "3/4" shaft.
It should be fairly easy to adapt some kind of hub to connect these. I found
a "General Radio" knob surplus in New York that works perfect. Sorry, I
don't remember the surpluser ,but they have been around a long time.

Tho they arent exact replacements they are close enuf... check out
Ried ( or is it Reid) Tooling Supply , they have all sorts of hand wheels...
