RE: plasma ball without glass

Hey, Langer.
It will not produce the effect any more since there is usually argon
inside under very low pressure and the circuit may possibly not be
able to cause the air to break down. But it will work as a source of
high frequency alternating current.
Be very careful with that since the glass may implode due to the low
pressure inside or rather due to the pressure of the atmosphere being
relatively high in relation to the pressure inside ;-) .. just like a
cathode ray tube does. Don't end up with pieces of glass in your eyes
and in your skin.
Regards, Q.

Hey everyone, I have a small little plasma ball that you can buy from
radio shack for $60-70, and was wondering, if you break the glass
ball around it with the gas inside, will it still work?
