Original poster: "Gerry Reynolds" <gerryreynolds@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Hi Dr R, McMaster-Carr has three kinds of tungsten rods (larger than 3/16 electode type) (The electrode stuff is pure Tg and Toriated tunsten but max diameter is 3/16) Hi density tungsten: Tg - 90% Ni - 6% Cu - 4% Tungsten Carbide: Tungsten Carbide with 10% Cobalt.Do you know what the conductivities are for these alloys and how they compare to the Cobalt-Tungsten-Vanadium alloy?? Do you have a favorite choice from the first three??
