idea for current limiting of MOTs

Tesla coil list members looking to limit MOT current might explore 
this idea:  Tractor Supply and Farm and Fleet stores or other farm 
co-op type stores usually carry "stock tank heaters".  These are 220 
volt and usually run at 20 Amps in normal service.  They are very 
inexpensive and an experimenter could connect several (3-5 pcs) in 
parallel to lower the resistance to a value that might provide 
excellent primary current control with MOT type transformers.  An 
experiment is in order.

If any one does this please advise the list on what you find works 
well with single MOTs and a pair of MOTs with the secs series 
connected for higher output voltage.
