Original poster: "D.C. Cox" <resonance@xxxxxxxxxx>Yes, but pri-sec reflections can produce bad effects during this period. This can produce irregular resonant peak potential points up and down the sec coil which can lead to damage.
The ARRL Radio Amateur's Handbook will detail these effects. See your local library.
Dr. Resonance
Dr., "After coeff. of coupling increases past it's "critical value" the single resonant frequency of the secondary begins to split apart into two separate frequencies. "is this only when spark gap is conducting? Is it not true that when the gap is quenched, the secondary will resonate at it's natural frequency?Tim
