Subject: KR-10 Tube specs?
Does anyone know the detailed specs on a KR-10 tube made by General
Electric? I have a couple of these and would like to make an aquarium demo
rectifier. All I know if they came from an XRT and the filament transformers
look like they could output ~30A and give 2.5V on the Sec with 120V on the
pri. I don't know if they want 120 or 240 but at 120 the tube lit up nice
and orange.
Given the amount of work required to extract these from an XRT (not a fun
job) I'd rather not damage them in experimentation. Some questions I have
(and guesses at answers just to see if I'm even close).
Fil Voltage (2.5?)
Fil Amp (20?)
Max voltage (50kV?)
Max Amp (1?)
I know practically nothing about tube technology beyond the very basics, so
I'm interested in having these operate on display. They would make for a
very nice demo mounted in a pair or quad in a 10 or 15Gal glass aquarium.
They would likely see use with our lifter demo.
