most are 2-3 kV. If you're coming up to our Teslathon bring it alongand we will measure it for you.

Hi all,
I picked up a working bug zapper at a garage saleyesterday...Cost me a whole dollar. :) Does anyone know theoutput voltage of these things? It appears as though it might makea good transformer for a mini coil. Better question might be, hasanyone tried one and found it to be suitable for a coil? Ifnot, I have plenty of hv diodes and caps and might consider makinga CW multiplier and playing around with a lifter or something else fun.
