I'd use a mot with the secondary removed/replaced with another
primary in parallel and the "I" part of the core spaced with plastic
spacer (grind the welds), more space=more current. 1 primary will
work, but only up to 8-10A before it starts getting too hot.

I am planning to make a high voltage supply from MOTs. I will be
using two with their secondarys in series and their primaries in
parrallel. What would be the best (ie most compact easy to make,
cheapest or free) type of balleast to use?
I was thinking another MOT.
