Hello Scott.

I haven't tried this before, but the idea sounds
interesting. This might work with some changes
to the insulation or putting under oil, but this
won tchange the fact that one primary has to power
several secondarys, thus reducing flux density, current,
and voltage.
The point of opening and rewelding the core is less
problematic.
