I think there has been a lot of confusion as to whether one is
speaking of transmission by (non-Hertzian) waves or by non ( Hertzian
waves). The first implies the existence of waves that are not
Hertzian (EM) in nature, which carry the energy, the second merely
implies energy carried by something other than Hertzian (EM) waves.
(low-pressure atmosphere?)
