Im sorry to even post this but times have gotten to a point where I 
am now having to use any and all resources to obtain some financial 
relief and I am now looking hard and  deep into the previous offers 
made by the members of the list who offered help.
I have contacted the insurance company with minimal responce, the 
wife is contacting FEMA as i write this and its not looking to 
promising at this time, red tape galore and I fall under a low 
priority since I am not in New Orleans at this time.
The best method I can think of for donations to be effective and 
timely would be a donation to my PayPal account. I know this sounds 
odd, but what other method can one think of to make secure the 
transfers of funds? If anyone has better ideas please reply.
The city powers will allow residences to return for retrevial of 
personal possessions and WILL have to leave again and not return for 
an estimated 4 more weeks while the infrastructure is being repaired.
I have 2 weeks of vacation pay available but that wont be distributed 
untill 09-23-05.
