Ideas like that might get me carried away Steve! I mean, what is to
stop us from using this little kill-a-watt meter to meter huge tesla
coils. We just simply toss half of our 240V across the input, and
then pass the CT output through the HOT pin on the meter. I might
just have to build a rig to do this for my big DRSSTC ;-).

A 10:1 current transformer will fix that :-) You just
have to remember to multiply all the current and power
readings by 10.
As for RFI: My aim was to evaluate how the meter
performed in a typical coiling situation, so I didn't
take any special care to avoid interference. I did
keep it about 10ft away from the coil, and never drew
ground arcs, but I didn't bother to use any filters.
