Yes.
1) Lots of stray capacitance in the power transformer,
which couples the hash.
2) Power transformers are not that high in inductance,
so they don't tend toblock the hash.
3) In many cases several houses share a transformer.
EMI/RFI is subtle stuff...
The power transformers are not designed to pass the hash, however,
they are not designed to block it either...
