The Tesla list and site is run from computers at home (about 10 years 
now!!).  The old computers are wearing out, so there is a fund drive

As many of you know I have occasionally asked for donations to the list.
These are strictly voluntary, but highly appreciated.  I bear the bulk of
the costs for the list, including the internet bill and hardware costs.
Recently I had to replace the disk, motherboard, and processor of the web
server.  This cost $400 US.  The web server is down again, so I'm worried
about that.  I did decide on the extended warranty this time tough. :-)


Still, I would like to replace the current machine that is pupman.com.
It is an aging PIII-500 with old disk drives in it.  It has been very
reliable so far, but I do not want to take chances on such an extended
down time as this would result in.

I ask that you all consider how useful this list has been to you and
contribute to its continued success. For those of you who have not been on
the list for very long, this is not a frequent occurrance.  In the 10+
years that the list has been around, this is the third time (IIRC) that
I've asked for funds.
