    You left out something, namely that the material must be operated at
suitable flux density.  A lot of guys seem to try to wind high frequency
coils or chokes on skinny ferrite rods, which saturate at high voltage.
Oh, yes. Important point. "Air cores" don't saturate. It would not be
trivial to make a cored Tesla coil, with hundreds of A at the
primary coil.
