We are hoping to see you there!

Dear Western Winter Teslathon (W.W.T) potential victims or Desert
Coiling Rats (D.C.R.),
Here is a list of contacts that have interest in meeting for a first and
hoping a yearly W.W.T!
Western United States Teslathon
Christopher Mesa, AZ
Henry Black Canyon
Jim S. Calif.
DC Tucson, AZ
Randy Globe, AZ
My brother-in-law called yesterday from Minnesota and said it was going
to be -12 there last night. So the coiling sounds like it will end
outside real soon for people east of the Mississippi; -12 F, heck, I do
not think the wheels on the base of my coils will roll in the temp, man
to dang cold as to be a nice 80 F here in AZ today!
Two things we need to decide on:
Date: Jan 2006 ???????
Location:
Name of thon: (W.W.T. or D.C.R)
I am calling Henry tonight to talk about a time and date. I will ask for
phone numbers (please send me your phone number if you can) and I will
call each to talk and get ideas. Since Turkey day is just around the
corner and Xmas is just after that, Jan looks to be a great time to plan
for the first W.W.T./D.C.R
So Jan. 2006 looks to be a date we can focus on, and this tends to be
when things really get cold back east.
I can bring three DRSSTC coils (maybe four if I get the last on done), a
Dual 833C VTTC, two SSTC coils and an 1800 Watt spark gap coil, all are
on my website at http://users.cableaz.com/~chooper/ . I also have a
weather station in my backyard and a FTP server that updates the web
page every ten mins to show how we suffer in Arizona in the winter... do
not look at it in the summer (he he). Maybe I can talk Steve Ward on
coming out with his mini DRSSTC! (hint, hint, Steve)
Thanks for the interest and looks like this could be a great time to
meet, have fun, and just play with sparks till the snakes and scorpions
go back in the holes...I love the smell of ozone on a clear desert
night..ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Go W.W.T Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jim,
Jim,
Thanks for the response; yes, I have seen a lot of great coiler's
websites in Calif.!
I live in Mesa, Arizona, 85213 which is about 5.5 hour drive from San
Diego. I was at Carlsbad a few weeks ago playing on the beach and was
surprised that we made it home in a little over 5 hours (nice to have a
Turbo - he he). I was wondering if I could contact you offline at
jetxxx?
And yes, DC Cannon was wild, I think my hearing is now just coming back.
Terry Blake has put a great website togeather on the Cheesehead Thon
this year and has some nice pictures of that wild cannon! (I want one).
Rgs,
christopher

Hi,
I too was at Cheesehead and would be certainly willing to come to
Arizona
from So. Ca. There are some pretty serious coilers here in So Cal. Where
about in Arizona are you? Too bad Dr. R. didn't bring his cannon out:-)

Great Idea, Christopher!
I also live in Arizona and have built a few coils, large and small and
have been talking a Western Teslathon over with my wife and friends.
I've never been to a teslathon, but have heard it's a blast. Please
e-mail me off-line at henry.hurrass@xxxxxxx when you have a chance.
Maybe we can find more interest?
Sincerely, Hankenstein

Good day,
I attended my first Teslathon (Cheesehead) in September 2005 and must
say I sure enjoyed meeting other Tesla Coil enthusiast! The only issue
is I live in Arizona and it was a four day drive one way. My thoughts
after the Teslathon were, boy this would be great if we could establish
interest in Arizona for a Winter Teslathon. To hot in summer (116
degrees-poor MMC's), so winter would be more realistic.
Question: is there anyone out West that would like to start
a
yearly Teslathon to allow the Western United States to meet, have fun
and start a great place to exchange ideas and demo coils when the East
is under snow?
Rgs,
christopher
