Hi Thomas,

Many believe the use of inductors as a filter element (between the transformer and TC primary - I'm assuming this is your application) can cause more problems than it solves. Resonances with capacitors is the main concern. The recommended filter is the "Terry filter" and uses wire wound ceramic resistors as the series element in conjunction with RF capacitors to ground to form a RC low pass filter between the TC primary and the transformer.     I use inductors in two of my coils. Both coils seem to be
lacking in performance too. So out of curiosity should I use the
inductors to suppress the RF and EM noise or not use them at all. I
think they may be acting like a receiver to the primary coils EM.
That could be degrading the performance and result in surges as well
in the primary circuit. What should I do keep or lose them?
