On the subject of physics, I'm just trying to get my head around this paper: -

Quaternions In Electrodynamics

If anyone can offer helping hand I would be grateful. I've just purchased a new book entitled Quaternions and Rotation Sequences. Apparently Maxwell's equations were originally in 4 D Quaternions rather than the 3 dimensional vectors, there are many claims that the transposition to 3 d vectors from 4d Quarternions removed some important properties from electro dynamics such as some scalar potentials- Intent to prove/disprove these claims once and for all, by actually understanding what the real issues are.
