correct me if i'm wrong, but stranded would increase the surface
area(S^2) of the "wire", who
knows...10-fold....100-fold??...depending on # strands... i made a
awg 6-12 (12 strand-6ga) and a awg 4-8 primary and found pimary
strikes to be very much, more freq. and damaging . i atribute it to S^2
