You can also hook lights across the capacitors, that way you can tell if
its hot, and it drains fairly quickly. Both my DRSSTCs have 3 christmas
lights in series across the 'lytics.

Do bear in mind that with 10k it takes a couple of
minutes to discharge. I like to put a neon bulb (with
built in resistor) across the DC bus cap too. It
doesn't make it discharge any quicker but it reminds
you the thing is hot!
