Six-phase is normally generated from three-phase using two xfmrs with
primaries connected in parallel; one xfmr is a delta-delta, the other a
delta-wye. The two secondaries provide six phases, altogether. The ratio
on the delta-delta must be root-3 larger, so the output phases are all
equal amplitude.

Does anybody here know if three phase power can be easily converted to
six phase power? And if so, how is it done?
