Yes.

After I over-volted my 27XT, I was unable to obtain a replacement
(obsolete, I was told), and was sold a 37XR.

1) I like it.
2) The "safety orange/red" colour of it isn't too good the morning
after the night before.
3) Mine came with a rubber holster - don't know if this is standard
equipment, but it's a darned good idea.
4) Desk stand actually works (it doesn't fall over easily).
5) I believe that the inductance range (and possibly other ranges) is
better than the 27XT.
6) It has a backlight - cuts off a little too soon, but still handy as
I found the other night when I was trying to trace a fault in the lawn
sprinklers.
7) Display is very clear and easy to read (for me).

An annoyance for me is that the supplied croc clips are a pain to
screw on and off - especially if you need to do this a few times
during an operation. A bayonet system would have been much better.
(Same applied to 27XT.)

Operation is a bit different to the 27XT - no on/off button,
everything switched through the dial; it annoyed me at first, as I
used to switch on/off/on when going between different measurements to
prevent the "wrong probe inserted" buzzer yelling at me. I've now
found that this can be avoided by switching to range quickly.

I also have a cheap DMM now for any situations where the Meterman's
ranges might be exceeded. (When you've overvolted two expensive DMMs,
you learn. Hopefully.)

Cheers

M
