Hi Gary, Ed, All,
Is there any independent confirmation of this endorsement ( say
from Lord Kelvin's own writings). It is interesting, but not
conclusive, that Tesla never claimed any endorsement of these ideas
during Kelvin's lifetime (1824 -1907) and even when he did, they
were quoted from private conversations of 20 years or more in the past.
That Tesla and Kelvin had a cordial personal relationship is not
in dispute, but that is a far cry from a scientific confirmation of
this particular idea. Also, a personal endorsement, whether from
Aristotle, Newton, Kelvin, or Einstein, is still not proof of a
scientific concept.
