Couple the shafts together of a 1 hp single phase motor to a 1 hp 3
phase motor. Turn on the single phase motor it will spin up the 3
phase motor. Connect the 120 volts AC to 2 of the 3 phase motor
wires this will provide a magnetic field for the 3 hp motor and it
will generate.
