David B., all,
These are nice variacs, to say the least, but they are NOT
1256D Powerstats, which are rated at 240/280 volts at
56 amps each. These are GE made units each rated at
500 or 560 volts at 30 amps each. They could still be pa-
ralleled for 90 amps of current rating although most of us
can only feed them with 240 volt single phase and not

The # is 7508735098 , this person has two such 3 gang units, Im waiting
for a reply to my question I gave him, Im just guessing they are
powerstats 1256 , look and see...........
