Yes: lack of safety. adding AC power to the secondary coil voltage makes a
potential death trap. Electricly it works and has been done with burned
secondary problems. Cunsider this, The primary is #6 wire with 100+ amps of
current and the secondary is #30 wire with a few mills of current. Now you
connect the two circuits to each other. One momentary current surge and you
try to put 100+ amps through #30 wire. The results is a flash bulb of smoke
and fire as you put high current into a fine wire with high voltage at the
same time to make an electric fire ball in your face. NOT SAFE
