Hi Eric,
Well I basically went through the phonebook and called the places around me
and asked if they accepted electrical equipment and secondly if I could look
around. Most places won't let you look around because of insurance reasons.
This is a small place only a couple people work there so they didn't mind if
I poked around. There is another place I would really like to get into, but
they are a big operation taking up a few dozen acres and won't let anybody
in to look around. Last time I went to that place to take some scrap copper
they had huge piles of industrial equipment but all I could do is drool over
it. I guess I am fortunate where I live there is that nice scrapyard an hour
away, a neon sign shop 20 min away where I get about a dozen NST everytime I
go, the only place I have to find now is a source of HV caps. The only
advice I can give you is ask, if they say no it's their loss.
