Re: Thyratron Tube

Does anyone have a use for an Arcturus 885 Thyratron Tube? Is it even
useful nowadays? This is n.o.s., in its original box and must be 50+ years
old. I picked up around 3 or 400 vac tubes a couple days ago, most new and
in their original boxes. Of the 150 I've inventoried and identified so
far, they're mostly various types of pentodes, diodes, triodes, rectifiers,
t/r, pentagrid converters and a few other types. A few are for tv such as
electron ray, beam power pentodes and deflection tubes but most seem to be
for radio but I'm far from an expert on these things. So far, they date
from the early 1930's to the early 1960's. John
