i don't know what magnet wire usually goes for but i got 4000 feet of 28awg 
for 22.50 plus shipping 8$ altogether 30.50$ the website is

the cheapest i have been able to find it on the web they have a lot of 
different sized wire and most of them come in many different spool length's
