Hi Tom,

Add some reasonable gauge wire to your existing primary to allow tuning.
Use some tape to keep them from shorting for a quick experiment.

Since you are running at 50 Hz,  you may want to shoot for 100 BPS.  Here in
60 Hz land, many shoot for 120 BPS.
