Yes, and I had scoped the NST secondary current at something like 160mA
RMS! I always run with the volume set to "11". So the NST was probably
seeing between 130-140VAC, pulling in excess of 20A from the wall, tank
cap was .02uF.

Hi Gary,
What is the NST input voltage and primary cap size?
Is this is that coil we thought was saturating the shunts in the NST?
