RE: secondary coilform painting

Thanx for the tip.
It is not necessary but I was hoping to be able to use something where I
could give the coil form a color just to spruce it up. Is there
anything I could use to do that? I am thinking what ever is used as
pigments might be a problem but have no clue. Does the glyptal come in
various colors.

Lol I know color is not what I should be concerned with but IF I have a
choice id like to make it look nicer. If not its no big loss.

Yes, you are correct. The entire coilform should be sanded inside and
outside, and then coated with 3 coats of G.E. Glyptal (motor rewind
shop)
allowing each coat to dry 24 hrs.

This totally seals the tube and prevents high freq tracking which can
occur
at TC frequencies.
