An SRL event is scheduled for 7 FEB 04 in Las Vegas:

This event does *not* claim to be educational, other than in a gratuitous, 
exothermic kind of way.
Accurate scientific concepts will *not* be presented, although many laws of 
physics will undoubtedly be demonstrated.

There's a 50% chance that the ALF twin-coil prototype will be finished by 7 
Feb.
If so, it will debut in the Las Vegas show.

Each finished secondary winding measures 23.7" x 90.5".  The tower 
structure w/toroid measures 28" x 121" OD... very nearly 1:12 scale.
After potting, the Fo for the loaded coils measured 61,070 and 
61,280Hz.  The spreadsheet predicted 60,626Hz... wild luck.
The solid-state primary drives should be ready for testing in about 8 
days.  Each drive assembly is designed for 5kW-at-400BPS max, with 3800V max 
on the primary.  We'll soon see how much smoke comes out.  ^_^
