IGBT's in Place of MOSFET's
Original poster: "Jim Mitchell" <electrontube-at-sbcglobal-dot-net>
Hi,
Today after blowing fets in my H bridge due to a bad tuning pot on a TL494,
Steve Ward suggested that I could use some IGBT's instead of the fets. I
have a good supply of IGBTs and they are beefier then the mosfets I was
using. My question is, how can I be sure that four of these IGBT's isnt
going to overload my gate drive IC's? I have 30N6S2 IGBT's and my current
H bridge is full of 44N50's. Does anyone have any advice?
