Thank you :-)  Yes its small in size sense, but it draws monster power, like
2A so the power supply needs to be large,  it makes my 25v supply bog down
to 20...  I tried 9v batteries in series, but the spark was very small.

The sparks are still pretty sad though, only 1/2" long currently, but then
again im only running 20v.  Maybe I'll make the logic supply separate, and
run the primary off a higher voltage.  Problem is there are monster voltage
spikes on the primary which will kill my transistor...

I tried what you said, problem is, the spark just became what looked like a
little blue flame, very blurry, like the shape of a water droplet, nothing
like an arc.
My camera is a Sony Cybershot F707,  it has a "nightshot" mode, but that is
an IR illuminated total darkness mode,  is that what you mean by nightseen?
