	Not quite.  Iron-cored HV transformers through WW2, then a combination
of "RF" high voltage supplies (like a very small VTTC with HV rectifier)
and powdered iron cored flyback transformers.  Ferrites came into
general use a few years later.  Really old flyback transformers (such as
in the RCA 630 series) had powdered iron cores.
