Re: Painted coil

Be careful what paint you use. I recently painted my primary blocks, (which
were made from LDPE), with black wrinkle finish paint. I was striving for an
old look with the wrinkle paint. When I tried to operate the coil, all I
could get was a 1" spark, and only if I drew it out with something grounded.
I changed the blocks out to phenolic, and the coil now works great.
