Nows your time to get a beautiful piece of test equipment.
Just in case you don't know what one of these babies can do.  You can
basically monitor any type of current and display it on a scope or
multimeter, etc...
And since its wideband it will pick up all the high frequency aspects of
your coil current etc... easily up to the MHz range.
This particular one sells for over $500.00 new.

I'd bid on it, but i already have about five of them (albeit much larger
ones)
