Hi John,
Thanks for the moral support anyway! You have one thing in your favor when
it comes to Ohms law. It is not like Latin mushroom names, in other words,
Ohms Law will never, ever change! The formulas you use on a regular basis
will remain with you. The formulas that you don't use, you will forget. The
internet, and your reference books will be there for you if you need a
forgotten formulas.
I don't know if it's still out there, but try to get yourself a copy of
"Amateur Radio Theory Course" by AMECO Publishing Corp. It is a great book,
and presents theory in a very easy to understand way. It even discusses
vaccuum tube theory. Keep an open nose at hamfairs! (If you can stand it!)
Look for for those musty smelling cardboard boxes that have "All books
$1.00" written on it. It is a grey colored book with blue writing on it.
Internet search engines might be less stressful on the olfactory nerves, and
you may find it quicker that way. The ARRL Handbook is a great reference
tool, but it's not a good place to start your electronics education.
Sue
